AMAZONAS, BRAZIL — A video circulating on social media shows a female dog entering a puddle under a construction site in Manaus to rescue one of her puppies that was trapped there.

In the footage, the dog searches for a way through the water until she reaches the puppy. She then picks it up by the mouth and makes her way back, carrying it to a safe area.

Two people were monitoring the situation. One of them used a shovel to try to remove water from the area and assist in the rescue.

According to information shared with the video, all of the puppies were safely removed.

The footage was posted on social media and quickly drew the attention of internet users, who followed the dog’s efforts to rescue the puppy from the flooded area.
