The bodies of the victims have begun to be identified through examinations following the crash of a Cessna Caravan aircraft, prefix PT-MEE, in Acre. The aircraft, which was carrying twelve people, crashed in a wooded area close to the runway at Rio Branco International Airport after take-off. The accident occurred at around 7am local time on Sunday 29 October. All the victims were charred. The aircraft was bound for the cities of Eirunepé and Envira in the interior of Amazonas. ART Taxi Aéreo, the company that owned the plane, reported that eight men, three women and a one-year-old and seven-month-old baby were on board. A team from the Aeronautical Accident Investigation Centre of the Brazilian Air Force arrived in Rio Branco to identify the causes of the tragedy.
