The festival, organised by the Rede Amazônica Foundation in partnership with the Amazonas state government, was held at Studio 5 in Manaus. The public turned up to dance to the old and new songs of the Parintins Bois-Bumbás. The event saw the participation of various items from the two associations such as: sinhazinha da fazenda, pajé, porta-estandarte, marujada de guerra and batucada. The carnival exceeded expectations with more than 36,000 people attending over the two nights. The traders who worked at the event were also satisfied, as several products from both the blue side of Caprichoso and the red side of Garantido were sold on site. The performances by Garantido and Caprichoso at the carnival also kick off the programme for this year's Parintins Folklore Festival.
