Arachnids are given special attention by researchers and students at the Amazon Museum-Musa. "Most of the time we have negative information about these animals. Here at the arachnid house, people first learn, for example, that arachnids aren't just spiders, but various types of animal - that's one of the first things. Secondly, and what surprises visitors the most at this point, is when they realise that we have, for example, skin changes. These are exoskeletons left by spiders and scorpions, by these animals, which look a lot like dead animals, but in fact the animal is alive and bigger," said zoologist Tiago Carvalho, from the Amazon Museum.
