ACRE, BRAZIL — A bull participating in the ExpoSena agricultural fair in Sena Madureira, in the interior of Acre, escaped from the area where it was being held Wednesday (23), ended up on a city street and caused a commotion among people trying to restrain it.

According to the fair's organizers, the animal managed to escape when one of the gates of the containment area opened. Three other bulls also escaped. Despite the commotion in the streets, no one was injured and none of the animals was harmed.

Of the four animals, three were captured by locals, while the last was restrained by its owner at around 3 a.m. Thursday (24). The bulls were then taken back to the area where they had been held.

Influencer Jonas Machado, 28, a resident of Rio Branco who is in the municipality, recorded the entire commotion. Machado said he was having dinner when he noticed the activity in the street.

“I went to an establishment to have dinner when I heard people on motorcycles, cars honking and people shouting, ‘Look at the bull, the bull!’ So I went out to record it and I even ended up running [laughs],” he said.

The footage shows the bull running down the middle of the street as several people try to surround and lasso it.

At one point, the animal charges toward a group of people, and some fall to the ground. The men then manage to restrain one of the animal's legs and bring it down.

Jonas also said that the animal he recorded knocked over a motorcycle during its escape and damaged the vehicle's rearview mirror.

“The bull I recorded in the video escaped, knocked over this motorcycle and people were trying to catch it. But it kept charging. Then a truck came and was about to run over the bull; it was a mess. In the end, the bull was caught by the rodeo workers who stay in the holding pen and by local residents,” he added.
