AMAZONAS, BRAZIL - The Banzeiro da Esperança, carrying members of the Amazonas state expedition, arrived in the city of Belém on Saturday morning (Nov. 8).
The vessel docked at the Estação das Docas port — one of the main tourist and logistical hubs of Pará’s capital — which is serving as a key venue for the UN Climate Conference.

Activities continue on board the specially adapted vessel, featuring workshops, discussion circles, and interactive sessions with more than 200 participants on the agenda.

Community leadership and the consolidation of climate action plans for the Amazon are central themes of the expedition. Saturday’s program will conclude with a live concert aboard the vessel.

The expedition aims to deliver a petition to COP30 expressing the concerns and aspirations of those who live in the world’s largest tropical rainforest. The UN Climate Conference officially begins on November 10 and runs until November 21.
