AMAZONAS, BRAZIL — A mixed-breed dog was rescued by the Fire Department after becoming trapped in a drain inside a housing complex in the northern part of Manaus. According to residents, the animal had been there for nearly three days.

The rescue was carried out by firefighters and recorded in videos by local residents. The footage shows the professionals working to remove the animal from inside the drain.

After being rescued, the animal was placed in the care of residents in the area. Videos of the rescue were shared on social media.
