The Narcotics Investigation Department (Denarc) began investigating about 15 days ago, after strange movements were seen in a shed located in the Parque das Laranjeiras complex, in the Flores neighbourhood, in the centre-south zone of Manaus. Based on this, the police began to monitor the location. During a raid on the warehouse, 1.5 tonnes of drugs were seized, including 1.2 tonnes of skunk marijuana and 300 kg of oxi. Four 762 calibre rifles were also located. No arrests were made, but the investigation will continue in order to find out who owns the illicit material and where it will be distributed. According to the Amazonas Public Security Secretariat, this action has already resulted in almost 9 tonnes of drugs being seized in the state in the first two months of the year.
