According to the State Tourism Company of Amazonas, in 2022, 19 thousand people landed in the state in search of visiting the villages and communities around the capital of Amazonas. With the end of the pandemic emergency, in the first four months of 2023, the number was three times higher and the forecast is for 56,000 tourists. The Tatuyo indigenous community, which is located in the Puranga Coquista Sustainable Development Reserve, in the Rural Zone of Manaus, is a reference in ethnotourism and now has the ability to exhibit its handicrafts and present typical dances in an illuminated space. The place gained lighting after receiving installation of solar panels from a state government project. With this, the community will be able to make presentations also during the night.
