Six thousand cubic meters of wood that was illegally extracted from the Mamuru River, located in the Amazon were seized by the Federal Police of Brazil in November of 2020. A ferry that was transporting the ilegal wood was stopped and the owner of the vessel was arrested. The investigations indicated that the wood were supposed to be transported to Belém, and from there, to the Europe. According to the federals, the owner of the load forged forest origin documents.
