The Federal Police and the Brazilian Institute for the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (Ibama) carried out an operation this Tuesday morning (14) against illegal mining on the Madeira River, close to the city of Humaitá in the interior of Amazonas. Around 50 that were used to dredge gold in the tributary were burned. After the action, the miners tried to put out the flames in the bullets, as shown in the video they recorded, but without success. The Federal Police and Ibama did not comment on further details and whether the action should continue in the region.
