The public security of the state of Amapá-Brazil, served a search and seizure warrant against a 43-year-old man, whose name was not disclosed for alleged manufacture and commercialisation of narcotics at his residence in the Renascer neighbourhood, in the capital Macapá. According to the authorities, the chemist had the help of his son to commit the offences. The place investigated was also used as a kind of "boca de fumo". The suspect was arrested and will answer for drug trafficking, illegal possession of a firearm, and for being part of a criminal group. In case of conviction, he could face a sentence of up to 23 years of
imprisonment plus payment of a fine. The action was carried out on 28 July 2023.
