MANAUS - AMAZONAS, BRAZIL – The heavy rain that hit Manaus on the afternoon of this Wednesday (19) caused a landslide in the North Zone of the city.
According to information from the Mobile Emergency Care Service (SAMU) and the Fire Department, four people were rescued.
A woman was among them and her death was confirmed.
According to the City Hall of Manaus, 79 incidents were recorded during the heavy rain that hit the capital of Amazonas.
Other people were taken to a hospital in the east zone and have already been discharged.
In the North and Center-South Zones, there was flooding on the main avenues.
Cars were practically submerged in several stretches.
According to the city hall of the capital, the North Zone of the capital was the most affected.
