The vessel 'Expresso Lady Luiza 1' crashed into a ravine near the Carvoeiro region, in the municipality of Barcelos, in the interior of Amazonas.
The accident occurred on Sunday night (29) at around 10:30 pm and, despite the scare, the company responsible for the speedboat reported, in a note, that there were no injuries.
The speedboat had left São Gabriel da Cachoeira and was headed for Manaus.
The number of passengers was not reported.
According to witnesses, the accident caused the vessel to partially sink.
The passengers managed to get out in time and were stranded on a sandbank in the region.
The company reported that, in the early hours of Monday (30), the passengers were rescued by another boat that was passing by.
They are staying on the vessel while they await the arrival of another company boat that will continue the trip.
The Brazilian Navy has not yet commented on the accident.
