A place with many floating boats used as homes or leisure spots where the population of the capital of Amazonas and tourists come to enjoy themselves at weekends. The lake is one of the tributaries of the Negro River. Surrounding it are marinas where motorboat and yacht owners keep their boats. There are also frequent concerts on the lake, such as the Beiradão Orchestra during the Amazonas Green Jazz Festival at the end of July 2023.
