An anaconda snake was spotted crossing the AC-405 Highway in Cruzeiro do Sul, in the interior of Acre, last weekend.
According to the city's Fire Department, which carried out the rescue, the animal measures around five meters.
One of the records was made by a biologist, who was passing through the site on his way back from the city of Mâncio Lima, a neighboring municipality.
In the video, it is possible to see that the snake has signs of wounds.
Other drivers also stopped and waited for her to cross the road.
A team was called and the animal was then rescued.
The marks presented, according to firefighters, could have been caused by a machete, also called a machete in the region.
The Brazilian Institute for the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (Ibama) went to the location and took the snake to the Cruzeiro do Sul base.
After analysis, the snake will be transferred to the Wild Animal Triage Center (Cetas) in Rio Branco for further care.
