An alligator was seen with a pink dolphin in its mouth in a river in São Francisco do Guaporé, Rondônia.
The video was recorded by the owner of a guesthouse near the Guaporé River.
The businessman reported that he was fishing near his guesthouse when he saw “something spinning and struggling” in the distance.
When he realized it was an alligator, he started recording.
A biologist reported that it is possible to see in the images that the dolphin had already been dead for a few days.
According to him, the death of dolphins during this dry season is common, due to the scarcity of food.
