Boi Caprichoso is the three-time champion of the 57th Parintins Folklore Festival.
With the theme "Culture - The Triumph of the People", Touro Negro thrilled the fans and won the club's 26th title.
The counting took place this Monday (1st), at Bumbódromo, the stage for the clash between bumbás Garantido (red) and Caprichoso (blue)
The Parintins Folklore Festival is known for being the largest open-air spectacle in the world.
Caprichoso won the first night of the festival with 419.8 points against 419.7 for Garantido.
On the second night and third night, the two steers tied with 419.8 and 419.7, respectively.
In total, 21 items were judged, divided into three blocks, and which make up the presentation of each bumbá.
The historic open-air competition between Boi Garantido and Boi Caprichoso has been taking place for 57 editions at the Bumbódromo, in Parintins, in the interior, known as “Ilha da Magia”, and located 369 km from Manaus.
The event is recognized as Cultural Heritage of Brazil.
During the festival, the population of Parintins, an island with just over 116 thousand inhabitants, receives the same number of visitors during the event each year, according to state bodies.
