The deforestation rate in the Amazon in the first half of 2023 is already the 3rd lowest in the historical series of the National Institute for Space Research, Inpe: 2,416 km². When compared to the same period last year, the index also represents a drop of approximately 39%. The data was released on 30 June 2023.
