The Brazilian Institute of the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources, Ibama, with the support of the Federal Police, Federal Highway Police and the Joint Operational Amazon Command, carried out on June 6, 2023, an operation that destroyed illegal mining facilities on Earth Yanomami indigenous, in the state of Roraima, in Brazilian territory.

The actions are part of an aerospace defense operation over the so-called area, in the Air Defense Identification Zone (ZIDA).
