The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, Mauro Vieira, in a press conference on 7 August 2023, spoke about the importance of the meeting of the countries that are part of the Amazon Summit, which runs until the 9th, in Belém, capital of the state of Pará-Brazil.
"Brazil, the region and the world have changed. Our countries need to take into account new demands, new expectations and new actors, and that is what we are doing with this summit. Our goal is to promote this meeting here in Brazil, and in Belém. We want to reactivate the channels of dialogue with the countries of the region so that through cooperation we can find together solutions to our common challenges for the benefit of our populations." said Minister Mauro Vieira.
