More than 800 kg of marijuana were seized during a joint operation by security forces in Costa Marques (RO), a region on the border with Bolivia, on Thursday afternoon (29).
The drug was hidden inside the mechanical arm of a hydraulic excavator.
According to the police, five people were arrested.
The agents had to saw the arms of the excavator to remove the drug.
The drug was sent to the police station in Ji-Paraná (RO).
The operation, called "Protector", was conducted by the Military Police, through the 11th Battalion.
There was support from the border police and the strategy and intelligence management, linked to the Rondônia security, defense and citizenship secretariat (Sesdec).
