Police seized more than nine tonnes of illegal fish in the municipality of Coari, in the interior of Amazonas. A man was arrested in the act of committing an environmental crime during a military police operation in the region. According to the police, a fishing boat was boarded in the early hours of Saturday morning (3), and during a search of the hold the military police found blankets of pirarucu fish.
