A parachutist was trapped at the top of a tree approximately 25 meters high, inside a private property, in the Paz neighborhood, Central-West Zone of Manaus, on Saturday (25). In total, four vehicles and 15 firefighters worked in a complex operation to remove the victim.
According to information from the Fire Department, the accident occurred after a strong wind diverted the parachute from the flight path and caused it to get stuck in a tree. The incident was called around 4pm.
According to firefighters, the victim was taken to the ground using a guided rappel system.
The parachutist was conscious throughout the process and, upon reaching the ground, received first aid care from the Fire Department's rescue unit team. He was taken to receive medical care at the Hospital e Pronto Socorro 28 de Agosto, in the capital of Amazonas.
