The river drought in Amazonas in 2024 will affect more than 330,000 people, according to the State Civil Defence.
All 62 municipalities have declared a state of emergency.
The information was released by the state government in a bulletin on the drought on Saturday (31).
In total, more than 82,500 families are already suffering the impacts of the phenomenon.
This year, Amazonas is experiencing a critical environmental scenario due to the combination of river drought and fires.
Cities are finding it difficult to receive supplies, the price of products is rising and indigenous and riverside communities can become isolated.
To minimise the impacts, the state government is distributing basic food baskets and drinking water to those most in need.
