The unusual incident took place in a rural community in the municipality of Caapiranga, in the interior of Amazonas.
Residents captured a boa constrictor and began to play with the animal.
One of them imitated the boa constrictor's attack with the animal in his hands.
When he tried to kiss the snake's head, it reacted and bit the man's nose.
The resident's sense of smell was trapped in the boa constrictor's mouth.
Other people, upon seeing the situation, began to help the man remove the snake.
The boa constrictor is considered non-venomous, but it can cause infections if the wound is not treated.
