The launch of the campaign to make the Amazonas Theatre a UNESCO World Heritage Site began on Thursday (14) in Manaus. The action will be carried out in conjunction with the state of Pará, which has the Peace Theatre, an architectural symbol built at the same time to achieve the same goal. "It's something that could allow us to officially recognise the value we have in these two spaces, not only culturally, but economically above all. We receive people from all over the world who have this feeling of being able to visit these places and learn about the history of our states through these two historic theatres," said Marco Apolo Muniz, Amazonas' Secretary of State for Culture.
