A toucan and a dog were captured in a moment that reveals the unexpected coexistence between wildlife and domestic life. The video shows the toucan, named “Nego,” and the mixed-breed dog “Polar” engaged in a kind of playful interaction. The scene was recorded in the Mawa Indigenous community, in Novo Airão, in the interior of Amazonas.
Lying down and relaxed, Polar follows the bird’s quick movements as it hops around without showing aggression.
A local tour guide who recorded the video said the animals are already well known in the community and often entertain visitors with their unexpected behavior.
“This toucan, Nego, and the dog Polar are well-known figures in the community. Polar gets overheated easily, jumps into the water out of nowhere and even swims with us. Nego, on the other hand, likes to approach and play. It’s a scene that always catches tourists’ attention and shows how living alongside nature can be surprising,” the guide said.
