MANAUS, BRAZIL - Street decorations for the FIFA World Cup 2026 have already begun in Manaus. A traditional street in the city’s central-west zone is maintaining the long-standing tradition of colorful mosaics representing national teams competing in the tournament.

Stretching over 200 meters, the street is adorned with thousands of plastic ribbons that together form national flags, alongside painted asphalt and scenic structures. The area typically serves as a gathering point for live broadcasts of Brazil’s national team matches, as well as a meeting place for fans and tourists.

The initiative has gained international recognition and has been featured in publications by FIFA, the organization that governs the World Cup. Organizers estimate that this year’s decoration will cover around 240 meters of the street.

The schedule includes the installation of decorative arches, artistic painting and structures designed to host the public, according to organizers. New features this year include two stages for live music performances and a 3D ground painting created by artists from Parintins, in Amazonas state.

Expectations are high for Brazil to lift the FIFA World Cup 2026 trophy — a dream shared by football fans across the country.
