Two partner companies linked to development, preservation and sustainable practices in the Amazon are working on exporting cocoa to Europe.
The project involves the export of 4 tons of cocoa produced sustainably in Pará to Belco, a leading European supplier of green coffee and cocoa.
The shipment will be transported by the sailing freighter Anemos, operated by a French company.
In addition to acquiring a 'Clean Ocean' seal by shipping cocoa by ship, another factor is to present a new gold standard in sustainability.
A work that can indicate origin from end to end, presenting cocoa interspersed with native forest on family lands.
The goal of the companies PlanetaryX and CBKK (Celo de Bonstato Kaj Konservando) involved in the project is to promote sustainable commercial development, conservation and the well-being of those who live in the largest tropical forest in the world.
