The Arena da Amazônia, in Manaus-Amazonas, hosted the 4th edition of the International Wine Fair of the Amazon-Fiva in August 2023. The event brought together wineries, importers, distributors and wine lovers who tasted different types of wines on display at the venue. More than 250 national and international labels were presented during the event. The aim of the organisers was to inform the population that wine is a healthy drink, and that it needs to be on the table of the people of Amazonas. The experts who attended the fair said that, due to the region's cuisine, which consumes a wide variety of fish, the most suitable wines to accompany it are sparkling and white wines.
