PORTO VELHO, BRAZIL — An anaconda was found in the bathroom of a municipal school in the northern part of Porto Velho, the capital of Rondônia state, on Wednesday morning (Aug. 26). Firefighters were called to rescue the snake.
No one was injured despite the scare. The fire department said the animal was safely captured.
The anaconda was then transported to a preserved forest area away from the urban perimeter, where it was released back into the wild.
